Description: Chartreux
are described as "a potato on toothpicks" because
of its sturdy body and finely boned legs.
Its blue coat is of medium length with a dense
undercoat which makes his fur feel like wool. The Chartreux
is not a very talkative breed and often "chirps" instead of
meowing when it finds something interesting. They love to watch
TV an become a real member of your family.
An interesting bit of information about this
breed is that traditionally kittens are named with specific
letter of the alphabet for the year they are born. This alphabet
contains only 20 letters leaving out the K, Q, W, X, Y and
Z.

(Patellar Luxation). If it is a mild condition generally
there will be no symptoms. If the condition is severe it
can cause lameness.
