SOLID
PATTERN COLORS The solid pattern
is just what it is said to be: One solid color from the
tip of the nose to the tip of the tail, as well as from
the roots of the fur to the tips of the fur. Although
in some breeds the color may shade slightly. Solid colors
include the following:
« Black
(Ebony)~
Dense black. Nose leather
and paw pads: black or brown.
« Blue ~
Gray. Nose leather and paw pads: blue.
« Brown ~ Seal brown.
« Champagne ~ Honey beige
shading to a pale tan on it's stomach. Nose leather and paw pads:
pinkish tan.
« Chestnut ~
Chestnut brown. Nose leather same as coat.
Paw pads: cinnamon.
« Chocolate ~
Rich chocolate. Nose leather and paw pads: brown.
« Cinnamon ~
Light reddish brown. Nose leather
and paw pads: tan to pinkish beige.
« Cream ~ Buff cream. Nose
leather and paw pads: pink.
« Fawn ~
Light lavender with pale cocoa overtones. Nose leather
and paw pads: light dusty rose pink.
« Lavender ~
Frosty gray with a pinkish tone. Nose leather and
paw pads: lavender-pink.
« Lilac ~
Rich lavender with pink tones. Nose leather and paw pads: pink.
« Platinum ~ Pale silvery
gray with fawn undertones shading to a slightly lighter color
on it's
stomach. Nose leather and paw pads: lavender
pink.
« Red ~
Deep, rich red/orange. Nose leather and paw pads: brick red.
« Sable ~ Rich sable brown
shading slightly lighter toward the stomach. Nose leather and
paw pads: brown.
« Silver Tipped
Blue ~ Silver
should produce a silver halo effect. The hair
is lighter at the roots with a touch of blue that
is darkest just before the tips which are silver.
« White ~
Pure white. Nose leather and paw pads: pink.
POINTED PATTERN
COLORS The pointed pattern means
the pattern is on the points of the cat; Nose, ears, feet
and tail.
These colors fade towards the center of the body. Pointed
cats always have blue eyes. Point colors include the following:
« Blue ~
Points blue. Body is bluish shading to white. Nose and Paw
Pads: Same as the points.
« Blue-Cream
~ Points blue with patches of cream. Body is bluish shading
to white. Nose and Paw Pads: Same as the points, pink or a
combination.
« Blue-Cream-Tortie ~
Body mottled bluish white to clear white, shading gradually
to white on the stomach and chest. Points, except for gloves,
deep blue mottled with cream.
« Chocolate ~
Points
milk chocolate. Body is ivory with no shading. Nose and
Paw Pads: Cinnamon pink.
« Chocolate-Tortie ~
Points milk chocolate mottled with red and/or cream. Body is
ivory with no shading. Blaze on the face. Nose and Paw Pads:
Cinnamon with flesh and/or coral pink mottling.
« Cream ~
Points buff cream. Body is a creamy white. Nose and Paw Pads:
Flesh to coral pink.
« Lilac ~
Points
grey. Body white.
Nose and Paw Pads: Lavender pink.
« Lilac-Cream ~
Points grey. Body white with the possible molting if any will
be in the shade of the points. Nose and Paw Pads: Lavender pink
with flesh or coral pink mottling.
« Red (Flame) ~ Points
deep orange. Body is cream.
Nose and Paw Pads: coral pink.
« Seal ~
Points dark seal brown. Body is a pale fawn shading to a lighter
color. Nose and Paw Pads: Same as the points.
« Seal-Tortie ~ Body mottled
pale fawn to creamy white, shading gradually to lighter color
on the stomach and chest. Points, except for gloves, seal brown
mottled with red.
« Tortie ~
Points seal with patches of red and/or cream. Body is a pale
fawn. Blaze of red and/or cream on the face. Nose and Paw Pads:
Seal brown with flesh and/or coral pink mottling.
POINTED
LYNX PATTERN COLORS Similar to
the pointed pattern with the colors on the points. Mask
clearly lined with dark stripes forming an "M" on
the forehead. Horizontal stripes on the cheeks. Markings
dense, clearly defined and broad. Legs and tail barred.
No striping on the body.

Points light blue with darker blue tabby markings. Body is
bluish white with no striping. Face, legs and tail to be marked
with tabby markings. Nose blue or red. Paw Pads: Blue.
« Blue-Lynx ~
Points light blue with darker blue tabby markings and patches
of cream. Body is bluish white with no striping. Face, legs
and tail to be
marked
with tabby markings. Nose and Paw Pads: Blue or pink.
« Chocolate-Lynx ~
Points milk chocolate. Body is
ivory with ghost striping. Nose: Pink edged
in cinnamon. Paw Pads: Cinnamon.
« Chocolate-Tortie-Lynx ~
Points milk chocolate mottled with red and/or cream. Body is
ivory with cream mottling. Blaze on the face. Nose: Pink edged
in cinnamon with flesh or coral mottling. Paw Pads: Cinnamon
with flesh and/or coral pink mottling. The cat should resemble
a lynx more than a tortie.
« Cream-Lynx ~
Points buff cream with pinkish cream stripes. Body is a creamy
white. Nose and Paw Pads: Flesh to coral pink.
« Lilac-Cream-Lynx ~ Points
grey with pinkish stripes. Body white with the possible molting

SMOKE
COLORS: Smoke
cats have a white undercoat deeply tipped with their color.
While moving the undercoat is very visible. The face, ears, paws
and tip of their tail are colored with a narrow band of white
next to the skin that can only be seen when the fur is parted. SMOKE & WHITE: White with colored portions.
The colored portions conform to the color standard.

SHADED
COLORS: Shaded
cats have a white or cream undercoat with a mantle of their
color at the tips, shading down from their sides face
and tail, from dark on the ridge to the undercoat color on the
chin, chest, stomach and under the tail. Their legs should
have the same tone as their face unless otherwise noted. SHADED & WHITE: White
with colored portions. The colored portions conform to
the color standard.
« Blue-Silver ~
White undercoat with a mantle of blue tipping. Rims

AND SHELL COLORS: Shaded cats have

white or cream undercoat. The coat on their back, flanks, heat
and tail are sufficiently tipped with their color. Their
legs and/or face may be slightly shaded with tipping. Chin,
ear tufts, stomach and chest are the same color as their

White undercoat, lightly tipped with cream. Nose
leather, rims of eyes and paw pads: rose.
« Shell Tortoiseshell ~ White undercoat, black tipping
and defined patches of red and cream tipped hairs. Face
and legs slightly shaded with tipping. Blaze of cream or
red tipping on the face.
CLASSIC
TABBY COLORS: Tabby markings
should be clearly defined and broad. Legs evenly barred
with bracelets meeting the body markings. Necklaces on
the neck and upper chest (lockets are allowed). Even
rings on the tail. "Frown" marks on the forehead
form the letter "M", swirls on the cheeks and
an unbroken line running back from the outer corner eye,
marks the
face. Vertical lines run over the back of the head to
the shoulder markings, which are clearly defined butterflies
marked with dots on the inside. The back has a vertical
line from the butterfly to the tail with a vertical stripe
paralleling it on each side. The three stripes are separated
by stripes of the ground color. A solid blotch on each
side will be encircled by one or more rings.The markings
on the sides of the cat should match. Two vertical rows
of buttons on the chest and stomach. White buttons and/or
lockets are allowed. CLASSIC TABBY & WHITE: White
with colored portions. The colored portions conform to
the color standard.

MAU
PATTERN: Torso markings are
to be randomly spotted with distinct spots varied in
size and shape.
Forehead barred with characteristic "M" and frown
marks, forming lines between the ears which continue down
the back of the neck. As the stripes on the spine reach
the rear haunches,
they meld together to form a dorsal stripe which continues
along the top of the tail to its tip. The tail is heavily
banded and has a dark tip. The cheeks have"mascara" lines,
the upper chest has one or more broken necklaces. Shoulder markings
are a cross between stripes and spots. Legs are barred.
« Bronze ~ Bronze on the head,
shoulders, back, tail and outer legs, darkest on the saddle fading
to a tawny buff on the sides. Markings dark brown-black with
brown undercoat.
« Silver ~
Pale silver on the head, shoulders, back, tail and outer legs
fading on the underside. Markings charcoal with white to pale
silver undercoat.
« Smoke ~ Pale silver on the
head, shoulders, tail and legs fading on the underside, with
all hairs tipped with black. Markings jet black with white to
pale silver undercoat.
